Baeza welcomes the 32º Symposium International en Tecnologías Aeroespaciales en Terahercios

Baeza hosts from October 16 to 20 the 32nd International Symposium on Aerospace Technologies in Terahercios (ISSTT), one of the most important in the world in this sector that is celebrated for the first time in Spain and that brings together renowned scientists from universities and the most prestigious research centers in the world, such as the European Space Agency, the Japanese Space Agency, and the universities of Sweden, Germany, England, France, Japan, China, the United States, and different countries in South America. The president of the Group of Cities Heritage of Humanity, Carlos García Carbayo, has highlighted “the international importance of an event that is the most prestigious seal at the scientific level, like NASA, where the best researchers and scientists of the world are found, con las Ciudades Patrimonio de la Humanidad, que son las joyas culturales de España”.

The Symposium is organized by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the City Council of Baeza with the collaboration and institutional support of the Government of Spain, the Junta de Andalucía, the Diputación Provincial de Jaén, the Grupo de Ciudades Patrimonio de la Humanidad de España, the International University of Andalucía y diferentes empresas tecnológicas El presidente del Grupo ha

El director del Comité Organizador, José V. Siles, explicaba que este 32º Symposium Internacional en Tecnologías Aeroespaciales en Terahercios (ISSTT) affirma que “este simposio es uno de los más importantes del mundo en este sector. Concretamente, se basa en el studio del infrarrojo lejano, en el que se han hecho infinidad de misiones espaciales para hacer observaciones tanto
a nivel de astrofísica como de studies de otros planetas y lunas del sistema solar, incluso para monitorar la salud e la terra via través de satellites en orbit”.

The researcher added that the conference addresses “technologies to observe the missions of stars, moons and other planets, to understand more about the universe, how stars form, where they come from and where they come from”. Según Siles, “si pensamos en ciencia y tecnología, qué mejor Patrimonio para la Humanidad, que no solo la culture o el arte, pero también la ciencia, la tecnología y el progresso y uniendo todas estas diversas facetas pues pensamos que Baeza was un escenario perfecto para una reunión de este tipo”.
